The Ashton Central Mosque since July 2014 actively encourages it’s congregants to help all the local community members of Ashton under Lyne who are facing difficult times in their financial lives. Giving is the ethos of Islam and taking care of near and distant neighbours is the obligation of every Muslim. The community in it’s first donation donated 400KG of food to the Tameside East Food bank and continues to donate generously every month.
