If you are a UK taxpayer, Ashton Central Mosque can claim Gift Aid on your donation — that's an extra 25p for every £1 you give, at no extra cost to you.
Example: A £100 donation becomes £125 with Gift Aid — an extra £25 for the mosque at no cost to you.
To qualify for Gift Aid, you must be a UK taxpayer and pay at least as much in Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax as the charity claims in Gift Aid on all your donations in that tax year.
How to Gift Aid your donation: When donating via bank transfer, include your full name as the reference. For JustGiving donations, tick the Gift Aid box during checkout. For in-person donations, ask a member of staff for a Gift Aid declaration form.

Maintaining our three-floor, purpose-built facility including solar panels, heating, lighting, and green infrastructure.
Funeral Services
Providing 24/7 funeral support, modern mortuary with 3 refrigeration units, and bereavement care.
Interfaith & Outreach
Welcoming 1,000+ school visitors per year, hosting community open days, and promoting interfaith understanding.

Is my donation tax-deductible?

Can I set up a regular monthly donation?
Yes — you can set up a standing order with your bank using our bank details above. This provides the mosque with a reliable, regular income and helps us plan ahead.
Can I donate for a specific purpose (Zakat, Sadaqah)?
Yes — when making a bank transfer, include the purpose in your reference (e.g., "Zakat - Your Name" or "Sadaqah - Your Name"). For Zakat assistance applications, please visit our Zakat Clinic page.
How is my donation used?
All donations go towards the running and maintenance of the mosque, including daily prayers, education (Madrasah and Hifz programmes), community welfare (food bank, exercise classes, Scouts), building maintenance, and funeral services. We are a registered charity and our accounts are publicly available.
Can I donate in person?
Yes — we have contactless payment kiosks in the atrium and cash donation boxes throughout the mosque. You can also speak to any member of staff.
